Our Story
Tick Tock Early Learning Center was founded as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in 1964 by a group of women who recognized a pressing community need:
Equitable access to reliable, affordable early education and care for children of working parents in Southern Chester County.​
Since then, our nonprofit has grown from one classroom serving seven children to eight classrooms serving up to 95 children at a time. With dependable care, parents can work and contribute to our local economy while their children build a strong foundation for success in school and life.
Support from local businesses, charitable foundations, and generous community members makes this work possible - sustaining exceptional early childhood education and care and expanding opportunity for generations to come. ​​

Our Commitment
We are committed to making high-quality early education and care accessible to working families. Reliable, affordable child care helps parents secure employment, remain in the workforce, and pursue advancement - creating opportunities for children and parents to succeed together.

Our tuition rates are determined on a sliding scale based on family size and income, and we accept Pennsylvania's child care subsidy offered through the Early Learning Resource Center (ELRC), putting high-quality early education and care within reach of hardworking families.

We provide a safe, supportive environment where children explore, discover, and build confidence through engaging, hands-on learning aligned with Pennsylvania's Early Learning Standards. By nurturing children's development and supporting family stability, we help strengthen the workforce and build a thriving Southern Chester County community.
