About Us
Our Story
Tick Tock Early Learning Center was founded as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in 1964 by a group of women who recognized a need in their community – a need for equitable, reliable, and affordable child care and preschool for the children of working parents in Southern Chester County.

Over the past 60 years the program has grown from one classroom serving seven children, to eight classrooms serving up to 95 children at any given time.
Our program supports our current workforce while simultaneously preparing our future workforce. Local grants, businesses, charitable foundations, and generous friends will help ensure another 60 years of exceptional early childhood education and care for the children of working families – workers who contribute to our local economy while their children succeed in school.

Our Philosophy
To accomplish our mission, we are committed to keeping our program affordable. Our tuition rates are determined on a sliding scale based on family size and income. We accept Pennsylvania’s state-sponsored child care subsidy offered through the Early Learning Resource Center (ELRC) so that high quality, educational child care is within reach of hardworking families.
Sometimes the lack of reliable and affordable child care is the only thing preventing a parent from obtaining, keeping, or excelling at a job – we take that obstacle away. Further, we are committed to caring for our students in a safe and supportive environment while providing a curriculum that is stimulating, hands-on, and linked to the PA Early Learning Standards.
We nurture young learners while emphasizing school readiness, English language acquisition, as well as Spanish language retention.
