Our facilities include 6 colorful classrooms, 2 large well-equipped play yards, a full kitchen for preparing our meals on-site, offices, and literacy center. Each classroom is well stocked with age and developmentally appropriate furnishings, educational materials, and supplies carefully chosen to support the learning program.
Child Care Program
Tick Tock serves working families throughout Southern Chester County. Our Center is inspected and licensed by the Department of Public Welfare, inspected and certified by the Chester County Health Department, is a member of the Pennsylvania Child Care Association, is a member agency of the United Way of Southern Chester County, and is reviewed and designated as a STAR 4 Program by the state of Pennsylvania Keystone STARS Quality Assurance Initiative – the highest rating available. We accept subsidies through state funded agencies such as Child Care Information Services (CCIS) and Migrant Education. Private placement fees are determined on a sliding scale based on family size and income. Tick Tock Early Learning Center is able to provide quality child care at affordable rates through the support of the United Way of Southern Chester County, local grants and foundations, private contributions, and other fundraising efforts.
We take the health and safety of our students and staff very seriously. All students, staff, and visitors are required to wear masks at all times when indoors. Surfaces are cleaned regularly and children are taught proper hygiene related to hand washing, self-care, and illness prevention. We do not require proof of vaccination status, but encourage our staff to strongly consider pursuing vaccination.
Our ten to twelve week Summer Camp is the only licensed, local option for parents endeavoring to maintain their government-sponsored child care subsidy while public school is not in session. Our Summer Camp enrichment program includes fieldtrips to local sites of interest, a variety of water play, and more than 20 visits from local educators and entertainers from nearby museums, nature centers, art and music collectives, science programs, dance schools, and more. Special events include holiday parties, picnics, carnival, parade, “spa” day, talent show, and visits from a moon bounce! Our Summer Camp motto is “Making Memories in our Own Backyard” – our philosophy is that children deserve a summer filled with exciting learning experiences, time to day dream, read a good book, frolic with friends, and a chance to make memories that will last a lifetime. We help children maintain academic gains but give them time to relax and recharge so they may begin the next school year refreshed and ready to learn.
