Income-Based Tuition Assistance
The actual cost of providing high-quality, educational child care is significant. As a nonprofit organization, Tick Tock raises funds specifically so that working families do not have to shoulder that cost alone.
Income verification is a part of our application process for determining tuition fees and program qualification. Families may qualify for tuition assistance based on combined household income and family size. To determine eligibility and establish a family's tuition rate, families requesting income-based tuition assistance must provide documentation of household income, including pay stubs covering the most recent 30 days of employment. Additional documentation may be requested when necessary to accurately determine household income.
There are no discounts for multiple enrolled siblings, as family size is taken into account when determining private fees.
Pennsylvania's Child Care Works Tuition Subsidy
Families who may qualify for assistance through Pennsylvania's Child Care Works (CCW) subsidized child care program are expected to apply for available public assistance before receiving tuition assistance through Tick Tock.
Families who meet the Child Care Works eligibility requirements will be asked to provide proof that an application has been submitted and to complete any necessary steps required by the Early Learning Resource Center located in their county.
Why Do We Require This?
Tick Tock's charitable tuition funds are limited. By confirming family income and using available public funding first, we can stretch privately raised dollars farther and help more working families access high-quality early childhood education and care.
