Early Education
Our Approach to Education
At Tick Tock Early Learning Center, children learn through play, exploration, and caring relationships. We value each child's unique strengths, interests, and abilities, nurturing their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth while building confidence and independence.
Our teachers use positive guidance and encouragement to help children manage emotions, solve problems, and build friendships. Families are essential partners, and we welcome classroom participation and open communication to support each child's success in school and beyond.

Activities
Children engage in hands-on learning experiences with literacy, math, science, art, music, movement, and imaginative play. Each day balances teacher-guided learning with free-choice exploration, giving children opportunities to play and learn independently and with others.
We support children's healthy development through regular physical activity, outdoor play, nutritious meals and snacks, free vision screenings, and connections to available health and wellness resources.
Curriculum
Tick Tock uses Teaching Strategies' Creative Curriculum, aligned with Pennsylvania's Early Learning Standards, to guide daily lessons. Teachers create individualized learning experiences based on each child's strengths, interests, and developmental needs. Regular screenings and ongoing observations help us track progress and connect families with additional support when needed.
Preschoolers also use Heggerty Phonological Awareness lessons to build foundational reading skills. Our bilingual staff help children learning English develop communication skills for kindergarten while respecting and valuing their home language and culture.

Our Team
Our dedicated early childhood educators bring warmth, experience, and commitment to helping every child thrive. Through ongoing training and professional development, they strengthen their skills and bring new ideas into the classroom.
Strong relationships are at the heart of our work. Teachers get to know each child and family, creating a welcoming community where children feel secure and parents feel connected. Many staff members are bilingual, and we offer free English-Spanish translation and certified interpreter services when needed to help families communicate and participate fully in our program.
